NHS Electronic Staff Record - part of the National Learning Management System (NLMS) programme

For most learners, the most flexible way to access the Alcohol IBA in Primary Care e-learning course is via the NHS Electronic Staff Record, part of the National Learning Management System (NLMS) programme. The alcohol IBA e-learning courses are accessible to employees most organisations in England.

The Electronic Staff Record (ESR) facilitates the recording of learning against your portable employee record. Please contact your local learning and development department about accessing this via the ESR.

By registering on the NLMS, you will be able to bookmark your place in the course and it is linked to the NHS ESR system so if your employer  uses the ESR system (e.g. NHS organisations) your learning will be automatically recorded.

PHE Alcohol Learning Resources

If the above platforms is accessible to you, this platform allows free access to the courses by anyone with internet access but is not a learning management system. It does not therefore record your learning automatically nor does it support bookmarking. However it will allow you to print out or save a pdf file of your record of assessment.
