- Identification and Brief Advice e-Learning - please note that you cannot access this e-learning on ipads/tablets
This short free e-learning course provides professionals with all they need to know to deliver simple alcohol identification and brief advice in healthcare settings. V2 of this course fully revised and published May 2010. Important note: In January 2016, the UK Chief Medical Officers published new proposed guidelines on alcohol consumption including new weekly lower risk drinking guidance for adults. The e-learning modules here use the previous daily guideline and so they are out of date in that respect. The techniques, tools and information contained in this e-learning are still valid, except where the lower risk guideline is referred to. The decision has been taken to continue to make these modules available while work is underway to revise the content and add new modules relevant to other settings. In the meantime please see here for a quick guide for practitioners on the revised drinking guidelines.
