DES Guidance and Alcohol Templates

Primary Care Commissioning have developed a number of alcohol templates for GP computer system EMIS to support the implementation of the alcohol related risk reduction scheme contained in the recent Directed Enhanced Service (DES) Guidance. The Alcohol Care Pathway Primary Care Guidance (DH) has also been revised to show accompanying read codes.

EMIS Templates

You can access the EMIS PCS and LV alcohol templates with instructions and data files below.

Important -you must have an EMIS account to activate the data files. Do not attempt to open the data files and make sure you read the instruction documents 'import LV template' and 'import PCS template' first.

Please note that the templates for Vision and Isoft will be available soon.
