National Alcohol Treatment Monitoring System Performance Reports
The National Alcohol Treatment Monitoring System (NATMS) is a part of the National Drug Treatment Monitoring System (NDTMS). It provides reports and statistics regarding tier 3 and tier 4 treatment services for clients who are resident in England and whose primary problematic substance is alcohol.
Monthly reports include a brief summary of statistical indicators nationally and for each area and service provider. These are publically available at:
More detailed quarterly "purple" reports include figures around waiting times, modalities of treatment and patterns of referral and discharge among various other indicators. These are produced both at area and provider level and access is restricted.

The National Drug Treatment Monitoring System
The National Drug Treatment Monitoring System(NDTMS) provides access to national statistics about treatment for substance misuse. All services that provide structured treatment for drug and/or alcohol users are asked to submit data to NDTMS. This information is analysed by the National Drug Evidence Centre to produce the figures published via their website.
The NDTMS website provides guidance about NDTMS in general, the statistics, detailed annual reports and related material including NTA's "facts and figures and a help section with frequently asked questions.
