This one day National commissioning and alcohol event brought together a number of key stakeholders from the Early Implementer PCT's , regions and broader NHS. It aimed to increase understanding about the commissioning process, give commissioners and managers networking opportunities and facilitate the sharing of ideas.

First National Alcohol Improvement Programme Workshop for Early Implementers 28th November 2008 in Leeds

Well over a hundred representatives from the Early Implementer PCT's and Regions attended the first National workshop event for the Alcohol Improvement Programme (AIP) on the 28th November in Leeds. Presentations were given on the AIP, the regional perspective, understanding the data, the National Support Team, Identification and Brief Advice, SIPS and evaluating outcomes. Delegates also took part in regional implementation planning breakout sessions in the afternoon. HubCAPP and the Alcohol Learning Centre provided stands.
