Added on 17/03/2011
The Great Drink Debate was launched by the Regional Alcohol Group in 2008/09. The aim was to raise awareness of the issues associated with the use of alcohol and encourage people from across the region to get involved in the debate. Seven priority areas were identified as a result of the debate:
- Actions that protect children and young people
- Action on drink driving
- Actions that tackle binge drinking
- Actions that tackle alcohol-related violence
- Actions that cut hospital admissions linked to alcohol
- Action to understand the economic impacts of alcohol in Yorkshire and the Humber
