South West Annual Alcohol Improvement Conference 11th Nov 2009
The Exchange Centre, Bridgewater
This one day event brought together a wide variety of stakeholders from all areas of the region. Delegates listened to a range of presentations on alcohol harm reduction strategy from a DH, Alcohol Improvement Programme and local Public Health perspective and were introduced to some local service good practice initiatives in Torbay, Plymouth and the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. The afternoon focussed on the development of improved alcohol treatment pathways and included a series of workshops to explore local opportunities and challenges in taking this work forward.
The South West also launched is regional section on the Alcohol Learning Centre website. If you would like to contribute to discussions and the sharing of information in the South West you can use the dedicated SW discussion forum pages.
